Kevin Perz has been a driving force at Dynamic Fastener since 1982, shaping the company into a nationally respected supplier of tools, fasteners, and construction products for the metal building and roofing industries. Founded in 1976, Dynamic Fastener operates multiple warehouses across the United States, serving commercial contractors with a broad inventory of specialized hardware and solutions.
A native of the Midwest, Kevin earned his B.S. in Industrial Engineering from the University of Missouri, Columbia in 1981, laying a strong technical foundation for a lifelong career in industry and distribution. He joined Dynamic Fastener shortly after graduation and has been instrumental in its growth and operational excellence for over four decades.
In 1990, Kevin married Cathay Perz, and together they raised four children — all of whom successfully pursued engineering degrees. “The Nerd didn’t fall far from the tree,” Kevin likes to say, especially since the two youngest of their children now contribute to the family business, continuing the tradition of engineering expertise and hands-on commitment.
Kevin’s passion for his work is undeniable. He jokingly admits his favorite hobby is… working, typically at Dynamic Fastener about 320 days a year. That unparalleled work ethic reflects his deep commitment to the company and its customers — a commitment rooted in engineering discipline, practical problem-solving, and a love for what he does.
Beyond the warehouse and showroom, Kevin is known for his engaging personality and personable leadership. He has represented Dynamic Fastener in broader industry discussions and has even participated in national forums, bringing a practical, engineer’s perspective to topics like tax policy and small business concerns.
